South Sands is very easy to find when approaching Torquay along the A380 (which by-passes Newton Abbot). After the large roundabout on the outskirts of Newton Abbot, you then follow the directions to Torquay for approximately 4 miles until reaching the next roundabout (known as Hamlyn Way).

Stay in the left lane and continue across the roundabout to join the dual carriageway 'Riviera Way' (A3022) - which by-passes the out of town shopping stores.

Continue along this route (A3022) following the signs for "sea-front" and "Livermead" but not "town centre". When you start to approach the sea front along Kings Drive, keep to the right lane and eventually turn right. We are just a short distance along this coastal road.
